Oh Matilda. I wonder how she's doing? The young girl who used to peddle peaches across the street.
I actually quite fancied her. She had sandy hair and a smooth fair complexion that reminded me of the peaches she sold. She actually slightly smelled of the fruit she peddled, which she carried around in a brown, hand made sack.
Everyday I would buy a couple of the fruits for breakfast and maybe lunch, and I would peel them. Oh, how I do love peeling peaches. You could say it was a hobby of mine.
Oh Matilda, I wonder how she's doing? She was nice, with her warm smile and a gaze that would melt the coldest of hearts. She would smile at everyone that passes her by and made their day just a little bit better. And oh the peaches she would sell! They were the finest in the city and would taste like heaven just after I would peel them. Oh how I did love peeling them.
Oh Matilda, I wonder how she's doing? She was actually quite similar to the peaches she would sell. She was just as sweet, just as fair, and as beautiful as the fruit itself. Maybe that's why I decided to peel her skin off one day. At first she screamed and she struggled as each stroke of my blade would cut deeper and deeper into her flesh releasing that faint peachy smell that I like.
But then her screams quieted and her struggling died down until there was nothing left to peel.
Oh Matilda, I wonder how she's doing? She would have loved to see the new fruit stand that opened a little while ago. But I doubt their peaches were as fine as hers. I would like to think so, since everyone who bought peaches from that stand would never be seen again.
Today I bought some peaches from the fruit stand to see how it compared to hers.
Hmm, they don't peel quite like hers. And the taste...it's good but just pales in comparison.
